A ground-breaking ceremony is held for the new Bonneau Market at 1025 Lisbon St. in Lewiston in 1953. The market was constructed about where McDonald’s now stands. The image shows, left to right, all members of the Bonneau family: Donat, Arthur, Victor, Lucien, (unknown), Edgar, Armand and Euclide. Franco Fridays is a recurring feature offering a photo from the Franco-American Collection at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College in Lewiston.
