MECHANIC FALLS — Regional School Unit 16 Adult Education student Brian Surette was recognized as the Tri-Town Optimist Club student of the month for April.

Surette is described as charming and personable, with a quick wit and a friendly disposition that spills over to others. He is persistent, self-motivated and an independent scholar with aspirations to have a career in the sciences after finishing high school, according to a news release from RSU 16.
