WALES — Levi Tibbetts drove in Ethan Brown in the eighth inning to give the Lisbon baseball team a 4-3 win over Oak Hill on Monday.

The Greyhounds (1-0) scored three runs in the top of the first. The Raiders (0-1) plated two in the bottom half of the first and then tied the game with a run in the fifth.

Brown, Hunter Brissette, Mason Booker Aiden Parker each had two hits for Lisbon, and Isaac Morissette led Oak Hill with two hits and he drove in three runs.

Brissette pitched all eight innings and struck out 13 batters for Lisbon. Kyle Delano had four strikeouts in four innings for Oak Hill and Trent Drouin fanned two in four innings.

DIRIGO 15, TELSTAR 0: Wyatt Smith had four hits and four RBIs to lead the Cougars (1-0) past the Rebels (1-2) in Bethel.

Drew Collins had three hits and drove in two runs for Dirigo, while Trent Holman and Charlie Houghton each had two hits and an RBI and Austin Adams had two RBIs.

The Cougars put the game away with a six-run fifth inning that extended the lead to 15-0.

Dirigo’s Trenton Hutchinson pitched four innings, allowing two hits and striking out seven.

Matt Dillon, Anthony Conant and Wyatt Lilly each had a hit for Telstar.

EDWARD LITTLE 11, GARDINER 1: Brady Vincent picked up his first varsity as the Red Eddies (1-2) cruised to a six-inning victory over the Tigers (0-1) in Auburn.

Vincent, a junior, pitched all six innings, striking out seven while allowing five hits, one run and a walk.

Kamden Masselli led Edward Little with three hits and two RBIs. Aidan Gonzalez had two hits, including a double and two RBIs. Gage Ducharme and Drew Smith also had two RBIs apiece, while Pat Anthoine doubled and Campbell Cassidy had two hits.

Gavin White pitched into the sixth inning for Gardiner before being relieved by Casey Paul.

GREELY 6, POLAND 1: Max Cloutier and Zach Johnston each hit a single and a double to lead the Rangers (4-0) over the Knights (1-2) in Cumberland.

The Rangers went ahead for good with three runs in the third on a single by Cloutier and a two-run double by Brooks Williams.

Greely pitchers Marky Axelsen, Sam Almy and Ryder Simpson combined on a five-hitter, striking out five and walking and two. Almy got the win in relief in his first varsity appearance.

Adam Gwerjanski had two hits for Poland.

MONMOUTH 14, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 8: Hunter Frost had a home run to help lift the Mustangs (1-0) in Rumford.

Hayden Fletcher had two hits and Liam Burgess doubled for Monmouth. Matt Marquis picked up the win on the mound.

Monmouth was up 3-2 after three innings, but broke open the game with a six-run fourth inning. It added two more runs in the fifth and three more in the seventh.

Rilan Farmum had a double and Tanner Henry had two hits for Mountain Valley (0-2).

MT. ABRAM 11, MADISON 7: Peyton Mitchell and Bryce Wilcox each had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Roadrunners in their win over the Bulldogs (1-1) in Madison.

Mt. Abram (1-0) pulled away with an eight-run fifth inning.

Kaden Pillsbury drove in three runs, while Adam Luce scored three and Ash Rollins scored two for the Roadrunners. Starter Trevor Phelps earned the win, striking out 14 batters in five innings. He allowed three hits and three runs.

Madison’s Hunter Tewksbury had a team-high three hits. He also struck out 10 batters.

MT. BLUE 6, ERSKINE 5: Mt. Blue scored three runs in the top of the fifth to break open a 3-3 game, then held on late to win the crossover game in South China.

Erskine (1-1) loaded the bases in the seventh inning but couldn’t push the tying run home.

Isaac Wrigley and Brody Walsh drove in runs for the Cougars, while Tristan Anderson had a single and two RBIs for the Eagles.

WINTHROP 10, CARRABEC 8: Brayden Stubbert scored three runs and had a hit and an RBI as the Ramblers (2-1) earned the MVC victory in North Anson.

Logan Baird had two hits and also drove in a run and scored for Winthrop. Matt Beck had a hit and scored twice.

Will Lawrence, Nate Caldwell and Jacob Hilinski scored a pair of runs each for the Cobras (0-1).

CONY 7, LEAVITT 1: Sam Flannery had three singles in the Rams’ (3-0) victory over the Hornets (0-2) in Turner.

Brayden Barbeau had a double and a single and Kameron Douin had a double for Cony, and Tyler Pelletier drove in three runs.

Barbeau also pitched six innings.

The Rams put three runs on the board in the top of the third. They also scored a run apiece in the fifth and and sixth innings and added two runs in the seventh.

Will Keach had a pair of hits for the Hornets, including a double. Leavitt scored its only run in the bottom of the fourth inning.

HALL-DALE 3, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Max Byron had a double and earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs in an MVC game against the Phoenix in Farmingdale.

Byron had two hits for Hall-Dale (2-0).

Eli Moffett doubled and singled for Spruce Mountain, which falls to 1-1, and Max Labonte added two hits.

SOFTBALL
GARDINER 12, EDWARD LITTLE 9: Taylor Takatsu and Lainey Cooley each had three hits, including a double and two RBIs, as the Tigers (2-0) held on for the win in Auburn.

Takatsu also scored four runs.

Brooklyn Gero picked up the win the circle, allowing 15 hits and striking out six.

Alexis Kelsea had three hits and scored twice for Edward Little (1-2). Emily Horton, Maddy Scott, Izzy Jalbert and Erin Cowie each had two hits and an RBI.

LEAVITT 3, CONY 2: Nola Boutaugh had three singles to pace the Hornets (1-1) past the Rams (0-1) in Turner.

Leavitt scored twice in the third and added a run in the fifth. Abby Albert pitched 5 1/3 innings and Haley Turcotte pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to earn the save.

Bri Madore pitched all seven innings for Cony and helped her own cause with a solo home run. Ram Kissoon had a triple. Cony scored in the fourth and sixth innings.

MADISON 17, MT. ABRAM 0: Brooke McKenney tossed a complete game shutout as the Bulldogs cruised to an MVC win over the Roadrunners in Madison.

McKenney had 10 strikeouts, with no walks, for the Bulldogs (2-0). Mackenzie Robins had two hits for Madison.

Abi Wilcox had a hit for Mt. Abram (0-1).

POLAND 8, GREELY 0: Emma Bunyea’s three-run home run in the top of the seventh powered the Knights (3-0) to a shutout victory over the Rangers (0-4) in Cumberland.

Bunyea added a double for Poland and finished with four RBIs. Atlantis Martin (two RBIs), Khloe O’Leary and Olivia Rioux each had a double. Gretchen Paradis pitched for the Knights and allowed two hits while striking out 11.

ERSKINE 7, MT. BLUE 3: Kassidy Barrett had three hits to lead the Eagles to a KVAC win over the Cougars in South China.

Kenzie Kutniewski and Lacey Arp each added two hits for Erskine (1-2).

Lexi Belanger, Katy Yeaton, KK Daggett, Eva Stevens, Alyssa Simonean and Katie Ladd each had two hits for Mt. Blue (0-1).

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 15, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 7: The Mustangs (1-0) rallied from an early deficit to win their season opener against the Falcons (1-2) in Rumford.

Brook Federico led the charge for Monmouth, striking out 11 batters in relief after taking over in the circle in the third inning with the Mustangs down 4-1. Federico also scored four runs and had two hits. Rileigh Chase and Shanna Parsons had three hits apiece. Monmouth scored eight runs in the top of the seventh.

Mallorie Bourret hit a two-run home run in the first inning for Mountain Valley.

BOYS LACROSSE
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 8, LAKE REGION 3: Vincent Lupardo had three goals and an assist to lead Gray-New Gloucester/Poland (1-1) over Lake Region (0-2) in Naples.

Ben Pierce, William Gwinn and Miles Post each added a goal and an assist, and Matt Fournier and Owen McDuffie also scored for Gray-New Gloucester/Poland.

GIRLS LACROSSE
MT. BLUE 12, MCI/NOKOMIS 2: Eryn Parlin netted seven goals to pace the Cougars (1-1) to a victory over the Huskies in Farmington.

Talia Kidder added three goals and Maya Kellett had two for Mt. Blue. Emma Dunn, Elle Marshall and Kyoko Kagotoshi each had an assist. Cougars goalie Michelle Seaberg stopped eight shots.

Emma Ramsey scored both of MCI/Nokomis’ goals, and goalie Samantha Bissell made 15 saves.

GREELY 20, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 1: Carly Ferentz and Charlotte Taylor posted four goals each, lifting the Rangers (1-1) to a win over the 26ers (1-1) in Cumberland.

Eva Williams registered three goals and four assists for Greely. Asja Kelman had three goals. Lauren Dennen tallied two goals and two assists. Kylie Lord scored twice.

Jennah Lynch scored GNG/Poland’s goal and goalie Malia Lewis made seven saves.
