Carol P. Parise

RUMFORD – Carol P. Parise, 81, passed away Wednesday April 20, 2022 at her home in Rumford. She was born August 19, 1940 in Rumford the daughter of Dana and Dorothy (Chamberlain) Putnam. Carol graduated from Stephens High School, class of ’58 and married Joseph Robert “Bob” Parise, Sr.; they enjoyed life and danced together for 60 years until his passing July 31, 2021. Carol was a natural business owner she ranked high in Avon, Mary Kay and Bee Line. When she walked into Port To Port Imports to purchase a basket, she purchased the business. She and Joseph successfully ran the business for many years. Carol and Bob loved to dance being active at Mollyocket Mixers and the Friendship Squares. They were communicants of The Parish of the Holy Savior. Carol also remained active in the community, being a volunteer for the Rumford Point Fire Department (Engine 6) and a member of the Snow Shoe Club. Most of all they loved their family. She is survived by four children Mark Parise, Carl Parise & wife Rebecca, Pamela Boyer & husband Richard, and Joseph Parise, Jr. & wife Tracy; 14 grandchildren and much loved great grandchildren.Carol was predeceased by her parents, her husband, their son Norman, and daughter-in-law Patti Parise. Visitation will be 1-4 pm Sunday, May 22nd at the S G Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot Street, Rumford. A Memorial Mass will be held Noon, Monday, May 23rd at the Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Avenue, Rumford.
