Steve and BJ Cavicchi who brought in the most money last year

OXFORD — On Friday, June 24, the Oxford Hills Bridge Club will offer two bridge games to raise money for Alzheimer’s for ‘The Longest Day’.

As you know, Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia suffered by over a million seniors. We are sending our money to help caregivers and fund research for this insidious disease. All of our monies go directly to Maine Alzheimer’s, located in Scarborough.

In conjunction with the American Contract Bridge League, we in Oxford have been sponsoring this event since 2014 and have raised thousands of dollars to help our cause. We want to thank all participants and all donors for their contributions.

This year’s games will be held at the Oxford Rec Center at 221 King St at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The cost is $25 a game. However, those who bring in a donation of $100 may play 2 games, free of charge.

Those who offer $50 may play one game free. All levels of bridge players are encouraged and prizes are offered for all levels. A free lunch will be provided by businesses for the interim between games.

Please come support Alzheimer’s research and join us.

Those who would like to make a contribution may contact Pat Quinn at 207-416-5788or send a check to 76 Otisfield Cove Rd, Otisfield, ME 04270.
