AUBURN — A Turner man suffered minor injuries Monday afternoon when he was struck by a car while crossing Center Street, Deputy Police Chief Tim Cougle said.

Craig Young, 58, was hit by a 2011 Subaru driven 29-year-old Tyler Barnies of Turner who was leaving the Mobil gas station at 345 Center St. and his view was obstructed by a delivery truck that was also turning, Cougle said.

Young suffered leg and arm injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by Auburn Fire Department.

Barnies’ vehicle was not damaged, Cougle said.
