Ollie

Are you looking for a playful boy who will keep you smiling? Ollie is a happy, friendly, good-natured 1-year-old Dalmation mix who recently made the trip to Maine from an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana. When he was on his way, folks realized that Ollie is hearing impaired. He doesn’t realize he’s different, he’s the most cheerful boy you’ll find. He’s just a sweet, happy, young dog who loves toys very much and just needs a little extra consideration to make sure he is always safe. Deaf dogs are trained with hand signals and body movements instead of verbal cues. Most canine communication is non-verbal anyway (even with hearing dogs). So dogs are naturally adept at picking up our body language. If you’d like to meet Ollie, please fill out the application at www.responsiblepetcare.org/dogs and we’ll schedule a meeting with this wonderful boy.
