NORWAY — ‘You get a line and I’ll get a pole, let’s all meet at the Fishing Hole!’ aka Butters Park in Norway on Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. for the 7th Annual Norway Family Fishing Festival. This family educational day was created to teach those aged 16 and under how to fish or improve their fishing skills. Once you catch your fish, the Norway Paris Fish & Game Association will help you measure and weigh the fish, and show you how to clean and grill it on-site, if you wish!

If you are under age 16 and a resident of Maine, you are eligible to enter the raffle for the Stuart B Cummings Lifetime Fishing License Award. A reminder that the Lake Pennesseewassee outlet from the upstream side of the Main Street bridge downstream to the Route 26 dam by Aubuchon is for under age 16 fishing until June 15.

This Event is a collaborative effort of the Norway Parks & Recreation Department, Mollyockett Trout Unlimited, Norway~Paris Fish & Game Association, and Healthy Oxford Hills. For more information, contact Norway Parks & Recreation Director Deb Partridge at 739-7050.
