READFIELD — Maranacook moved on to the Class C South softball quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory over Lisbon in a prelim game Monday afternoon.

Grace Dwyer hit an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning to score Shylah Woodford and put the fourth-seeded Black Bears (13-4) ahead 1-0 early.

The Black Bears didn’t score again until the sixth inning, when Woodford hit a sacrifice fly to score Alexis Michaud and put Maranacook up 2-0.

From the circle, Maranacook’s Alexis Michaud pitched all seven innings, striking out seven while scattering six hits.

No. 13 Lisbon’s Erica Hill struck out seven against six hits, as well. Sophie Maloy hit a double for the Greyhounds (5-12).
