Folks enjoying a Waterford Breakfast in 2019.

WATERFORD — After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the much-loved Waterford Summer breakfasts are back. Precautions will be in place with plenty of space between tables and masks available, but these wonderful gatherings are set to begin again on Monday, July 4, at 7:30 a.m. Hosted at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill in the Flat of Waterford, adjacent to the Congregational Church. There will be four in all: other dates will be Wednesdays, July 20, and August 3 and 17.  All are from 7:30-10 a.m.

The breakfasts will consist of Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Muffins, Donut Holes Juice, Coffee, Tea, and Real Maine Maple Syrup.

Volunteers are very welcome.  For more information about volunteering, contact Ginny at WilkinsHouse1797@gmail.com.

It was 68 years ago when this tradition became a reality. Summer visitors, especially, look forward to the festive 4th. It’s an occasion to see friends, both long-time residents and other summer folks. And the parade and library book sale along with the open house at the Historical Society buildings will make for a truly wonderful welcome to summer.

Proceeds from the breakfast help with the upkeep of the Wilkins House.
