The Rumford Public Library Children’s Summer Reading Program, Oceans of Possibilities, is underway, and the library is offering adults a reading challenge.

Now through Friday, Aug. 26, the library’s adult patrons also can participate in Book Bingo. Each Bingo box includes a challenge for readers, such as a book with a one-word title; a book that has been recommended; a book not liked during English Class; or the first book in a new series, according to a news release from the library.

When readers get Bingo, five books read in a row, a column or diagonally, they can turn their Bingo sheets with the names of the books they read into the library to receive a gift card to Lexie’s Bakery.

Books marked on RPL Book Bingo must be library books, either checked out directly from the library or through interlibrary loan.

Audiobooks, graphic novels, and Cloud Library Ebooks and audiobooks also count.

Book Bingo reads also can be included on the year-long reading challenge, Read Thru 2022.

For more information, follow Rumford Public Library on Facebook and Instagram or call the library at 207-364-3661.
