Bridgton Historical Society plans to present Abraham Lincoln Alive and a Civil War reenactment from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Narramissic Historic Farm, 46 Narramissic Road in South Bridgton.

Reenactors will feature skirmishes, drills, marching and demonstrations starting at 1 p.m. Members of the 3rd Maine Vol. Infantry Company A, 35th Virginia Company B, and Civilian reenactors Be What Remains will participate, according to a news release from the society.

Blacksmith demonstrations start at 1 p.m. The historic farmhouse will be open for self-guided tours of the first floor until 3:30. p.m. Mike Davis will present a speech on local politics building up to the Civil War at 3:30 p.m. Beast Feast will be serving food starting at 4 p.m.

Abraham Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Speech — a Unity for America will be presented by reenactor John Voehl of Colorado at 5 p.m.

Voehl has provided more than 1,300 Lincoln presentations in 45 states. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters and is recognized nationally as a Lincoln Historian and presenter as the 16th president of the United States.

People can bring chairs, blankets, drinks and a picnic, as the event will be outside and is free to the public. Donations are appreciated.
