BETHEL —On May 5 at Telstar, senior thrower Jordan Berry hurled the shot put 30 feet and broke a 48-year-old record set by Sherry Learned in 1974!

Jordan earned the 2022 Team MVP Award for scoring more individual points than any of her teammates. She qualified for the Mountain Valley Conference Championship Meet in all three throwing events, Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin. She also qualified to compete at the Class C State Meet for shot put and discus.

All this was accomplished during Jordan’s first year of participating in track and field.
