She painted the lips of each horse a different color for campers to apply to a canvas for a unique piece of artwork. Winter Drever gets an impression of Jazmine’s lips on a painting she and others were making Wednesday morning during horsemanship camp at Blazing Star Stables in Monmouth. Each horse has its own color-coordinated matching buckets, lead lines and halters. There is a picture of horses with their color and name above their stall for easy identification for the campers. It was natural for instructor Katherine Ludewig to use that color paint for each horse’s lips to apply to the artwork the campers were creating. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
