I write in support of Kristen Cloutier to represent Lewiston in House District 94.
Kristen has worked hard to help people in Lewiston and across the state. Her work to help fix the terrible cuts in the MainePERS retirement system in 2011 has resulted in a fairer Cost of Living Allowance and Maine income tax relief for retirees equal to that given to those on Social Security. Kristen made sure that MainePERS paid the full COLA of 5.4% to retirees’ base amount.
She continues support for the state’s 55% payment obligation for public education, providing local property tax relief.
Kristen has been a strong advocate on the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee for Lewiston. Her work made this the first bipartisan budget voted unanimously in years.
I highly recommend voting in November for Kristin Cloutier, a hardworking, caring, dedicated person, with a passion to help the people of House District 94.
