OTISFIELD — The 108th annual program of the Bell Hill Meetinghouse Association is set for 4 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Bell Hill Meetinghouse at 191 Bell Hill Road; all are welcome.

Bernard Fishman, museum director of the Maine State Museum, will be the featured speaker. Fishman will give a talk on the history of Maine illustrated with slides of interesting and unusual objects at the Museum. Fishman is the author of “A Story of Maine in 112 Objects,” according to a news release from Polly Bartow.

A choral group from Camp Arcadia will entertain with a selection of camp songs before gathering on the Common for the traditional ice cream social.

The meetinghouse and adjacent schoolhouse will both be open for tours. Both were built in 1839 and both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

There is no charge for this event, but donations will be accepted.
