Finlay

As you can see, Finlay is a very handsome guy. He’s also very clever, people-focused, and understands English and Gaelic! As part Border Collie, he’s got a herding dog temperament: sensitive to eye contact, loves to work, listens carefully. He’s an excellent hiking buddy and loves to hike off-leash. He’ll come back to you when other hikers approach to step off the trail together and let them pass. While he does love a good long hike, he’s not as high-energy as most herding-type dogs and can be happy with a couple of short walks in a day. He has been to training classes, and knows sit, stay, come, lie down, and heel. He’s mellow at home; he never makes a mess or causes any destruction. He makes close friends with other dogs and has enjoyed doggie daycare. Finlay is just shy of 8 years old and finds himself at the shelter through no fault of his own. He would love a quiet, adult-only home where he can enjoy daily walks and be someone’s best friend again.

Folks who are interested in meeting Finlay should fill out our adoption application at www.responsiblepetcare.org/dogs.
