Peggy Rotundo is a gift to Lewiston.

I was delighted to hear that she is stepping forward again to serve the Lewiston community in the Legislature. Doing so is no easy job. The fact that she’s willing to serve yet again is remarkable.

Peggy genuinely cares about the people of Lewiston, and in a time of much discord, she has a unique ability to help people come together to address the issues that people care most about.

She is a stalwart supporter of public education, both pre-K through 12 and higher ed, and was a champion behind Lewiston-Auburn College during all of my nearly 30 years of working there.

Peggy Rotundo seeks to serve, not to be “in power” like so many politicians today. I’d vote for her for state senator in a minute if I could, and I urge others to do the same.

Lewiston is lucky to have her.
