WILTON — The Town Office is expected to reopen Thursday, nine days after a COVID-19 outbreak among five employees, Town Manager Perry Ellsworth confirmed in an email Monday.
Ellsworth said the outbreak started Aug. 16 and all but one town office employee has since tested positive.
Three office workers, the code enforcement officer and a sewer operator were out last week due to the virus, he said.
Ellsworth said he tested positive Wednesday and five days later began testing negative.
He said he is not aware of any selectpersons contracting COVID-19 after the Aug. 16 meeting.
Ellsworth said he anticipates the office will reopen Thursday. “I hope that all our employees recover quickly,” he wrote.
