The local chapter of the Red Cross was on the job at the Maine State Fair last week. During the five days of the fair, attendants at the Red Cross tent treated over fifty persons for injuries. Many people expressed surprise at the fact that all treatments were free. As an expression of appreciation many new members signed up. The Chapter wishes to extend its gratitude to Miss Rachel Metcalf, Supt. of CMG Hospital, for her kindness in lending equipment used in the tent.
