Q&A

Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
I will be successful as a strong voice for the communities I serve. I will be a respected voice working hard for both parties to get things done. I will fight to ensure Maine people have access to health care they can afford. I will fight for a woman’s right to choose. I will work for comprehensive gun safety while preserving Maine’s strong hunting tradition. I will build bridges over partisan divides. I will care for our communities.

Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
Mainers need strong access to governmental business. Understanding what government can do (and can’t do) builds trust in our leaders and institutions. As a member of the State and Local Government Committee, I consistently supported the press’s access to the work of government, statewide and locally. I will continue to stand up for freedom of the press.
