WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
NESCAR HONORS RICHARDSON: Bates College senior Jillian Richardson, an Edward Little graduate, was announced Monday as the NESCAC Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week.

Richardson, who is from Auburn, placed first at the Bates Invitational on Saturday, winning by nearly 40 seconds. She also set a new personal 5-kilometer record with a time of 18 minutes, 35 seconds.

WOMEN’S GOLF
HAYLOCK IS MEDALIST: Freshman Ruby Haylock earned individual medalist honors and led Bates College to victory at the Wesleyan Fall Invitational in Middlefield, Connecticut, over the weekend.

Haylock, a Leavitt Area High School graduate from Hartford, tallied five birdies and shot a 74 Sunday, which gave her a two-day score of 153. She finished seven strokes ahead of second-place Emily Hou of Wesleyan.

The Bobcats team score of 656 topped the Wesleyan A team, the runner-up, by 13 strokes.

Haylock has earned two medalist honors in the first few weeks of her college career.
