The dramatic and hyperbolic ads being run against U.S. Rep. Jared Golden, illustrating him as someone who is out of touch with the middle class, are a stark example of the sheer desperation currently permeating every facet of the Republican Party.
Unlike his predecessor Bruce Poliquin, who voted strictly along party lines, Golden has not been afraid to stand up to those on both sides of the political spectrum.
In our current toxic political climate, Maine needs a congressman who will fight against the extreme agenda of the right, but who also isn’t afraid to stand up to the demands of the far left. Extremism has no place in American politics, and Jared Golden is a refreshing voice of reason in Washington.
There was a time when Democrats and Republicans were actually able to compromise and enact meaningful legislation to help Americans. Jared Golden is the best choice for Maine.
