It is no secret that a lot of people are frustrated, confused and tired of the polarizing and often hostile speech that dominates our political arenas.
Many Maine voters do not feel that anyone is listening to them or doing anything about the turmoil they see and hear around them.
I encourage our political candidates to recognize that voters age 50-plus are likely going to be the deciders on Election Day. This is where the rubber meets the road.
Traditionally, older voters show up at the polls more than any other age group. I expect the same on Nov. 8.
