Oxford County citizens will soon have the opportunity to vote for Christopher Wainwright to serve a second term as Oxford County sheriff.
Full disclosure: I know him well and have for over 30 years, as he is our son-in-law. As such, we knew him when he joined the sheriff’s office at barely 18, and have witnessed his many years through the ranks at the sheriff’s department under Lloyd Herrick.
Chris has served his country with two overseas military deployments. His life experiences prepared him to competently serve the office these past four years. His leadership has helped the sheriff’s office restore the trust and respect of the citizens, administration and dedicated personnel of the OCSO.
His personal integrity and character is just what is needed to do this hard work. The best person for this critical and important role is Christopher Wainwright.
