Lewiston-Auburn has some 5,000 to 6,000 veterans. Some are homeless, experiencing food insecurity, and are in need of medical and personal care.

The nearest VA home is in South Paris, and Lewiston-Auburn — the second largest metropolitan area in the state — doesn’t have one.

That makes no sense to me.

Mayors Carl Sheline and Jason Levesque should make it happen.
