Mark P. Blanchard

RUMFORD – Mark died unexpectedly at his home after a period of declining health. He was born in Rumford on March 6, 1966, the son of Paul M. and Pauline A. Blanchard. He graduated from Rumford High School, where he enjoyed being a successful member of the football team. He attended CMVTI acquiring his welder technician certification and pursued a career in that field.

In the days of his good health, he greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Mark was always up for a game of poker or cribbage. His smile in this photo reminds family of the smile Mark had, to the dismay of his dad, when he got a “29” hand in cribbage!

Mark is survived by his brother, Bill and wife Debbie of Chesterfield, Mass., sister, Louise and husband Dave of Bowerbank, sister, Cindy and husband Mike of Waterville, brother, Dennis and wife Debbie of Candia, N.H., brother, David of Debary, Fla., brother, Norman of Alpharetta, Ga., sister, Paula and husband Jim of Dixfield; many nieces and nephews; and “fur nephew” Duke the dog.

Mark was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Bobby.

Graveside services will be held in the spring.
