
Theresa Noella “Terry” Giguere
LEWISTON – Theresa Noella “Terry” Giguere, 90, of Lewiston passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at D’Youville Pavilion following a long illness with dementia. She formerly resided at 89 Hogan Road for 66 years.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, to Alfred and Marie (Grenier) Collins, the seventh child of nine children on Jan. 14, 1932.
She was married to Origene P. Giguere on Oct. 13, 1951, who predeceased her on April 8, 1980. He was the love of her life.
Terry earned her GED at 62 years old. Throughout her life she worked in various shoe and mill industries. Her most recent employment was in housekeeping at Bates College, where she worked for 10 years, retiring in March of 1994.
She loved puttering outside at her home, going to church, going out to eat, shopping, sewing, puzzles, and most of all, she loved her family, friends and pets.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Lapointe and her husband Joseph of Sabattus and Arlene Anctil
and her husband Roland of Lewiston; grandsons Joseph Anctil and his husband Zeus of Wakefield, Mass., and Jonathan Anctil and his wife Katie of Lewiston; a sister Evelyn LeRiche of Lewiston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her infant son Michael J. Giguere on April 11, 1969; her sisters, Alice, Beatrice, Doris, Florence and Patricia; and her brothers, William and Maurice.

A Funeral Mass honoring Terry’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at 1 p.m., at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
