LEWISTON – James A. Hill, 79, of Turner, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital, in Lewiston.

He was born July 8, 1943, in Derby, Conn., a son of the late Toivo “Jack” and Mary (Mawhinney) Hill.

James owned and operated Creative Machine Corporation for many years.

On Jan. 12, 1963, he married Ann Whittier and they were married for 60 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his loving wife and family. He will be missed by many friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving parents Toivo “Jack” and Mary Hill; his brother, Bob Hill and sister-in-law, Linda Kill.

To cherish his memory, his loving wife, Ann Hill; his daughters Kim Hill and partner Scott Hilton, Lorie and husband Mark Clukey; John Higgins (non biological son) and wife Michelle; his three grandchildren, Brandi Clukey, BJ Hill and partner Karleigh Eccles and Dylan Hill and his wife Michelle; his eight great-grandchildren, Gabe, Kandise, Brayden, Karlee, Jaxson, Parker, Wyatt and Julien. He was looking forward to the delivery of his two new great-grandchildren; his sister, Maryellen and husband Mike Sheehy.
