The flute duo of Christopher Lansley and Sally Grube will perform at the Oasis of Music beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at the LA Arts Gallery in Lewiston. The duo has chosen as their theme “The Green Hills of Tyrol.” The audience is invited to imagine the Green Hills of Tyrol, as they listen to music by W.F. Bach, Handel, Rossini and Offenbach.
Sally and Chris have formed a flute duo a number of times in the past at the Oasis of Music, and play together in the Augusta Symphony Orchestra.
The Oasis of Music is a weekly music series of performances of roughly thirty minutes, running from September to May. Admission is free, with donations accepted. The musical genres vary greatly, in largely, but not exclusively, acoustic formats. COVID restrictions of optional mask-wearing and social distancing are observed.
