The Friends of Norway Memorial Library plans to accept donations of used books for summer book sales at the 258 Main St. library from Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 28.

Book donations also can be made between 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, April 15, May 6 and May 13 at the Gingerbread House, 500 Main St.

Donations should be clean, gently used, hardcover, and paperback fiction and nonfiction for children and adults. People should not include Reader’s Digest condensed books, book club editions, encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines, or audio or video materials, according to a news release from Beth Kane, library director.

Volunteers are needed to assist on Saturdays, April 5 and May 6, and all book sale dates. To volunteer, stop by the library and sign up.

Summer book sales will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Saturdays of each month, May through August: May 13, June 10, July 8, and Aug. 12. Hours on Saturday, July 8, will be extended to 2 p.m.

All sales are held outside on the lawn of the Gingerbread House.
