WALES — The Open Book Players plans to hold auditions for the last production of its 2022-23 season, “Frantic Frogs and Other Frankly Fractured Folktales,” at 6 p.m. Monday, May 1.

Auditions will be held at Oak Hill High School, 56 School Road.

This children’s production is a compilation of folk and fairy tales with satirical and side-splitting twists to otherwise famous plots, according to a news release from Lucy Rioux, artistic director.

There are parts available for any fluent readers in grades two through 12.

Performances will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 20 and 21, at Oak Hill High School; Johnson Hall in Gardiner, the regular residence of Open Book Players, is still closed for renovation and restoration work.
