NORWAY — The Select Board on Thursday voted unanimously to renew the liquor license for the Xvault Restaurant Group, doing business as the Norway Pizza XChange at 457 Main St.

The meeting was the first for interim Town Manager Bradley Plante, who took over from Dennis Lajoie who retired April 30.

Plante said he has worked with Lajoie for the past couple of weeks to acclimate himself to the procedures at the Town Office.

Plante praised the office staff for helping his transition, adding that he has worked for some other towns that did not function well.

“I feel comfortable here,” Plante said.

In other business, the board accepted the town’s sale of scrap metal for $518.43 and approved Highway Foreman Steve Powers’ suggestion to place the funds in the tool line of the Highway Department budget.

One of the shortest in recent memory, the meeting lasted just over 21 minutes.
