JKA Maine Karate Academy’s advanced students attended the US Budo Karate National Championship in Massachusetts on May 6-7th with competitors from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Missouri, and California.
The team brought home 17 medals including the championships for both the Adult Team Kata and Kids Team Kata Divisions. Members of the JKA Maine Karate Academy team were Michael Umayam, Benjamin Farris, Ariana Touchette-Ruiz, Mikaella Torres, Miguel Torres, Liam LaFlamme, Caleb Harrington, and Sensei Ferdie Torres.
