KEY WEST, Fla. – Buzzy F. Metayer of Key West, Fla., died on April 27, 2023, surrounded by love.

Below are the words he wanted to share.

“I knew it would happen, I just didn’t know when. I won’t do that again.

It was slow at the beginning, then it went quick towards the end.

I’ve done a lot of things in my life. Some to be proud of, some not.

Those I was most proud of was raising my children. Seven children. That gave me my biggest joy and it also gave me my biggest heartache when my son Shawn passed away. That’s a big hole. It’s not easy raising kids.
