LEWISTON – Yolande B. Roy, 89, formerly of 34 Stevens Street, Lewiston, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, where she had been a resident for the past year and a half. Born in Lewiston on Nov. 6, 1933, she was the daughter of Maurice and Jeanne Filion Bilodeau. She was educated at St. Peter’s School and was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, class of ‘51. On Feb. 23, 1975, she married Norman R. Roy in Barrington, R.I. Mr. Roy passed away on Jan. 26, 2009. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, and worked as an office manager for Norman Roy Real Estate for many years.

Survivors include a brother, Julien M. Bilodeau of Florida, a sister-in-law, Laurette Bilodeau of Lewiston, 10 nieces and nephews, 21 grand nieces and nephews, and 17 great-grand nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Gerald R. Bilodeau, and two sisters, Claudette Bilodeau and Gisele Durocher.

Committal services will be held at the Mausoleum of St. Peter’s Cemetery on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. Memories may be shared at http://www.albert-burpee.com. A memorial mass will be offered by the Discalced Carmelite Friars in Brighton, Mass., at a later date.
