SABATTUS – Sharon Davis, 78, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and an all-around wonderful person, left this Earth to be with her savior, Jesus Christ, early Sunday morning, surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 24, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born Feb. 26, 1945. She worked for the Federal Reserve for 27 years. She was an avid card player and enjoyed a weekly game night with their dear friends Bob and Marge, and enjoyed going to yard sales with her daughter, Kathy, most every Saturday, followed by supper and an evening of playing pinochle with Papa and Dee.
Grammie loved to bake and made homemade bread weekly and made sure that the cookie jar was full for the grandkids and Papa until the cancer took even that away. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her – and there were many. We were blessed to have her as long as we did, and we know she is in a better place now and free from her pain that she rarely let us see.
A celebration of life will be scheduled in the Spring of next year.
