Auburn native Anna Cote was named the New England Small College Athletic Conference’s Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime of Bates College’s lone game this past week.
The Bates junior and former St. Dom’s standout was the hero in the Bobcats’ 2-1 victory at Trinity on Saturday. The goal — Cote’s second of the season— came on her seventh shot of the game, which matched the Bantams’ team total for the contest.
