50 Years Ago: 1973
(Sun-Journal photo) Admiring a few of the interesting antiques, which will be offered at the annual Antique Show and Sale at the Jewish Community Center Monday and Tuesday, are Mrs. C. Martin Berman and Mrs. Stephen Geller, who are among many Center members working on the arrangements for the event. Monday hours are from 10:30am to 9 pm and Tuesday from 10:30am to 8pm. A Snack bar will be under the chairmanship of Mrs. Jules Wise. Mrs. Gerald Shible is general chairman.
25 Years Ago: 1998
(Sun-Journal photo) Matt Nason of Turner and Scott Cote of Greene strap down the giant lobster that was taken from the Red Lobster restaurant in Auburn Monday morning. The national restaurant chain closed its last two locations in Maine, Auburn and Bangor Friday Nov 13th. Nason and Cote are employees of Neocraft Sign Company of Lewiston.
