I write regarding Stan Tetenman’s letter (“Dangerous Trump,” Dec. 1). One does not have to look ahead to the fascist project that Donald Trump tells us he would launch in a second term in order to reject his candidacy for president.

What a tragic historical irony it would be were the American people to give away our democracy by electing the “traitor-in-chief.”

He, who betrayed the Constitution by plotting to overturn a free and fair election that he lost. He, the first president in history to recruit, assemble and launch an armed violent mob to the Capitol to sabotage the peaceful transfer of power. He, who defrauded all American voters and trampled on their right to have their votes fairly and accurately counted and certified.

If these actions do not disqualify Donald J. Trump from ever holding office again, then heaven help us.
