Shirley D. Labrie

LEWISTON – Shirley D. Labrie, 88 of Lewiston, passed away on Dec. 8, 2023, at Marshwood Nursing Home.

She was born on March 19, 1935, to the late Eva and Hermas Labrie in Lewiston.

She worked for a while at the Pepperell Mill and then for the local school department serving lunches to the children. She was a very kind, caring, funny, and lovable soul who took care of her mother and then her significant other of 57 years Joe until they passed. She will be sadly missed.

Shirley leaves behind her cousins, Nancy Pelletier of Massachusetts, and Doris Ruel of Bowdoin, her friends, Sheron Lessard of Lewiston, Lori-Anne Touchette and her children Michael and Arianna of Lewiston, her caregiver Stacey Smith along with her mother Jackie Smith and her daughter Kaydence Bell of Lewiston, and Bryan Smith and his family of Wales.

She was predeceased by her significant other Joseph Klimek, and his brother and friend, Emile Klimek.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 11am on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at the Basilica of Saints. Peter and Paul, 122 Ash St., in Lewiston.
