AUBURN — Police confirmed Monday that a man was arrested Saturday night in the Walmart parking lot after a mental health episode.
Deputy Chief Tim Cougle said officers responded to the store at 100 Mount Auburn Ave. about 7:30 p.m. for a man with a knife. He was located quickly and detained without incident.
Several social media posts claimed the man was brandishing a knife at cars, and the store was locked down.
A spokesperson for Walmart was not available for comment.
