Crane operator Gerry Castonguay of The Cote Corp. lifts a U.S. Army Jeep while helping to make repairs May 22 to Veterans Memorial Park in Lewiston. Employees from Cote and the city of Lewiston are working together to make repairs after the park sustained heavy damage during a December 2023 flood. Cote is providing the machinery and manpower at no cost to the L/A Veterans Council. Employees are using the crane to lift the Jeep and a 51 mm Navy gun so the city can secure the ground that was washed away by the flood, and then return the Jeep and gun to the same locations.
