PARIS — On Wednesday, May 22, seven Certified Nursing Assistants were recognized in front of 50 family members and friends at their Oxford Hills / Nezinscot Adult Education CNA pinning ceremony.
Three students spoke during the ceremony. Jeanette Elembe, a Lewiston and Central Maine Community College student, said, “To finish, this program changed me a lot. I learned many things and to feel more sure of myself. A big thank you to the teachers, friends, and family who helped me. . . I am ready to do good work and help people. I saw how much my classmates and I grew. We are now ready to go out and do great things. We learned a lot and got strong together. Moving forward, I will use what I learned here in my work. I tell everyone to keep learning and growing. Let’s help each other and get better together. We are ready to do good things. Thank you all for helping me on this journey. Let’s go make a difference, knowing we can do it.”
This program was supported by the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan (MJRP), Eastern Maine Development Corporation, and others. Clinical rotations were done at Market Square Health Care Center. Please call Adult Education for our fall CNA training at 207-743-8842, Ext. 1541.
