L’Orchestre C’est Si Bon, the It’s So Good Band, started at Lewiston’s Franco-American Festival in Kennedy Park in the 1970s. Many of the band members were strangers to each other when Connie Cote, the organizer of the festival, individually hired them to play at the C’est Si Bon Café at the festival, which is how they got their name. The group evolved from there, playing together for nearly 30 years and producing records locally. Members, from left, are Don LeBlanc (fiddle); Armand “Mickey” Meservier (guitar); Gerry Meservier (drums); Nel Meservier (piano); and Ray Chouinard (percussion). Franco Philes runs every Saturday featuring a photo from the Franco-American Collection at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College in Lewiston.
