Dear readers,
As our daily mission of covering what matters to Maine continues, we’ve also been working toward another goal: building the Maine Trust for Local News as one of Maine’s newest civic institutions. We’re delighted to share that we have reached an important milestone in that work.
We have recruited a top-flight group of Mainers to serve as inaugural members of the Maine Trust’s Community Board. We’ve assembled a Community Board that brings deep dedication and diversity of experience to our mission. Board members are:
Shanna Cox, Lewiston
Sam Hight, Skowhegan
Roger Katz, Augusta
Josephine Katandula, Portland
Donna Loring, Bradley
Georges Budago Makoko, Westbrook
Karen Miller Pensiero, Mount Desert
Mark Stodder, Cape Elizabeth
We are excited to benefit from the wisdom and expertise of each of these fantastic community voices as we work to grow the reach, impact, and sustainability of our journalism.
We remain incredibly grateful for the support from you, our readers.
Lisa DeSisto, CEO, Maine Trust for Local News
