I was lucky enough to be on a state championship  high school ski team, and then I often skied 30-plus days a year.

I took my good health for granted until I suffered a traumatic brain injury after a helmetless fall in 1998. Twenty-six years later I am still adjusting to my disability.

Thank God for my wife. People should cherish their health, and their health care
