OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Bridge Club is preparing for their two-game tournament on Friday, June 21, “The Longest Day” to raise money for the Maine Alzheimer’s Association. Last year, the group donated $10,000 to Alzheimer’s and we hope to better it this year! The games will be held at our new venue, the Oxford Legion Hall at 169 King Street. The first game will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a free lunch, donated by local businesses. We thank you! The second game begins at 1:30 p.m.
The games are $25 each; however, you may play one game free if you bring in $50 in donations. If you bring in $100 in donations, you may play two games at no charge. All levels of players are welcome. Those wishing to donate may send a check made out to the ‘Alzheimer’s Association’ to Pat Quinn, Oxford Hills Bridge Club, 76 Otisfield Cove Rd, Otisfield, ME, 04270.
Comments are not available on this story. Read more about why we allow commenting on some stories and not on others.
We believe it’s important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It’s a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
