I support Bettyann Sheats’ candidacy for state Senate District 20.
She is well qualified as a former state representative. She graduated from West Point, then served our country as a helicopter pilot for eight years.
She owned a small business and supported responsible development while on the board of the Finance Authority of Maine. She advocates for sensible public health and environmental protections that keep Maine a special place.
After every conversation I have with her, I walk away confident that she will represent her constituents well by carefully studying the issues, considering all sides, and making well-informed decisions.
She would do the hard work and avoid the type of “showboating” that demeans the office. She understands that good governance is serious business, and she would quickly earn and maintain the respect of her colleagues.
