LEWISTON — The Public Works Department will close a section of Lisbon Street on Tuesday night to repair a damaged underground pipe, according to a city news release.
The section from Pine to Ash streets will be closed at 10 p.m. and is expected to reopen around noon Wednesday.
The repair location is in front of Forage Market at 180 Lisbon St., city spokesperson Angelynne Amores said.
“This past winter, the weather caused a city-owned pipe to burst in the area,” Amores said. “This project completes the winter damaged pipe.”
Crews will place “No Parking” signs on Lisbon Street and detour signs will be set up to divert traffic up Pine Street, left onto Bates Street and left onto Ash Street.
Sidewalks will be open to foot traffic.
